1-800-Flowers customers can now place orders using an Amazon Alexa powered device. These devices include the Echo, Echo Dot, Amazon Tap, or Fire TV. The company says it is the first third party e-commerce retailer to utilize the technology on Alexa-enabled devices.

1-800-Flowers says all a customer has to do to place an order with Alexa and tell it to place the order. The customer says, "Alexa, ask 1-800-FLOWERS.COM to order a dozen roses," and the order will be processed.

Chris McCann, President, 1-800-Flowers.com, says in a statement, "Innovation is part of our DNA, and Alexa is certainly one of the world's most innovative technologies. We have always embraced new and emerging technologies to enhance our customer experience and we are excited to team with Amazon in offering a leading-edge technology that will help our customers act on their thoughtfulness and deliver smiles."
