Academy Sports Releases 2016 Black Friday Ad

Academy Sports + Outdoors has released its 2016 Black Friday ad. The retailer will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. It will open at 5 a.m. for its Black Friday sale. Academy says this holiday season's top gifts include trampolines, fitness equipment, basketball systems, gun safes, micro drones, blitzball and motorized ride-ons.
J.K. Symancyk, President and CEO, Academy Sports + Outdoors, says in the announcement, "Since we opened in 1938, we've always made our team members a priority, and this year is no different as we keep our stores closed on Thanksgiving Day so our team and our customers can spend time with family and friends. We plan to deliver convenience and value to our customers throughout the entire Thanksgiving weekend, whether customers choose to shop us in-store or online, allowing them to balance a key shopping weekend with their holiday celebrations."Academy says some of the best items will be online at academy.com starting Wednesday evening Nov. 23.
