Birds Eye Announces Mashtags Potato Snacks

Birds Eye has announced Mashtags, a potato snack inspired by social media. The Mashtags are in shapes that includes smileys, pound signs and @ symbols. In a tweet, Birds Eye UK writers, "You may have heard the news already, but #Mashtags are coming! Now you really can live, breath and EAT social media!"

Pete Johnson, senior brand manager at Birds Eye, told The Independent, "The addition of Mashtags to our food range is an exciting development for Birds Eye. Social media is all about conversation and we’re confident Mashtags will resonate across various groups of people."

The social media inspired potato products will roll out in the U.K. next month. It is not clear if they will come to the U.S.
