Chicken of the Sea is seeking help naming the blonde mermaid mascot that has been on its labels since 1952. The mermaid has never been given a name despite appearing on the brand's tuna labels for over 60 years. The company is offering a $10,000 prize to the person who selects the winning name. Contest details can be found here.

Christie Fleming, VP of marketing for Chicken of the Sea, says in a statement, "Believe it or not, since our Mermaid made her debut on Chicken of the Sea labels, only to go on to become an American icon, she has never had an actual name. With Chicken of the Sea celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2014, this becomes a fun opportunity to involve the public to remedy this."
