Cities Plot What To Do With Retail Vacancies

U.S. cities are scrambling to find new retail development to fill empty shopping centers and malls. If you've been following the news about retail bankruptcies you know there have been quite a few. The result when large retailers like Circuit City and Mervyn's go bankrupt is big empty buildings and parking lots. The AP's Haven Daley reports that one mall in San Francisco brought in a farmer's market when it lost several anchor stores. What a terrific idea. Take a look:
