Disney's Frozen on DVD

Disney's Frozen has broken Amazon's DVD and Blu-ray sales record. The Wall Street Journal reports that Frozen broke the record based on pre-orders alone. The previous bestselling DVD/Blu-ray on Amazon was Despicable Me.

Disney says it sold 3.2 million units of Frozen DVDs and Blu-ray discs. This amount includes pre-orders.

Frozen has also been a huge success in theaters. It is less about $3 million away from hitting the $400 million mark. It is expected to reach $400 million domestic which will make it one of just three films released in 2013 to make over $400 million. The other two films are Iron Man 3 and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
