First American Girl Mega Bloks Playsets Arrive in Stores

Mattel's American Girl and Mega Bloks brands have collaborated to launch the first American Girl Mega Bloks playsets. The new sets include mini figures based on the American Girl Girl of the Year characters.
The Mega Bloks American Girl Grace's 2-in-1 Buildable Home with 749 pieces is pictured above. Each themed set features its own fully articulated Girl of the Year mini figure character. Some of the figures include Grace, Isabelle, Saige, McKenna, and Nicki. The Nicki's Horses Stables set is pictured below. It features a horse Nicki can ride, a real fabric blanket and a riding outfit for Nicki. Some of the other sets include Isabelle's Ballet Recital, Grace's Pastry Cart and Saige's Art Studio.
Katy Dickson, President of American Girl, says in the announcement, "We know girls are makers, creators, and doers, and they are looking for activities that fuel their creative and imaginative spirit. Collaborating with another Mattel brand to create a premium and thoughtfully conceived construction line for girls allows for terrific synergy across the company and helps us encourage girls' creativity and self-confidence in a whole new way."
Prices for the products ranges from $3.99 to $69.99. The products are available now in Toys R Us stores. They will arrive at other retailers starting on July 1st.
