Humpty Dumpty Stars in TurboTax 2017 Super Bowl Ad

Posted on January 27, 2017

Intuit Inc. went with a famous nursery rhyme character for its 2017 Super Bowl Ad. This year's Super Bowl ads have started to appear online ahead of the upcoming game between the Falcons and Patriots. Humpty Dumpty stars in the ad directed by Ivan Zacharias.

Intuit says in the announcement, "The series playfully sheds light on Humpty Dumpty's story, highlighting the world's most-famous egg's taxes. Everyone knows Humpty Dumpty, but no one knows why he was on the wall or what happens after the fall."

The ad was developed in partnership with independent advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy. Greg Johnson, senior vice president of marketing for Intuit TurboTax, says in the announcement, "The Big Game and the Grammy's give us unique opportunities to demonstrate – in an entertaining and memorable way – that with TurboTax, there's expert help, on demand in the palm of your hand."

Humpty Dumpty is a pitiful mess after his big fall. He says "everything hurts." Humpty was doing his taxes on the wall before his big fall. It doesn't seem like a very safe place to do your taxes. Take a look:
