Kate Upton Talks About Her Body and Social Media in Vogue
Posted on May 10, 2013
Kate Upton graces the cover of the June 2013 issue of Vogue. Kate has now covered both Sports Illustrated and Vogue. Vogue calls her "America's favorite bombshell." In the Vogue interview, Kate addresses being labeled "fat" by some online commenters. She also talks about having confidence in her body and social media.
On Being Called Fat by Online Commenters: "It was hard at first. You sit there and you're like 'Is something wrong with me?' The things that they're rejecting are things that I can't change. I can't change my bra size. They're natural! I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can't change some things."
On Her Body: "I really just live my life. I love my body. It's what God gave me! I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies, great."
On Social Media Sites Like Twitter: "It's just me sharing my life. I like it if it's authentic and in the moment and happening. I didn't buy the magazines that had models on the covers, because I didn't know them. So I think this kind of gives me, as a model, a personality that people can connect with."
Kate is beautiful and she needs to ignore the ridiculous and jealous commenters. The interview also includes complements from designers, including Michael Kors and Diane von Furstenberg, who call Kate confident, healthy and sexy.
The cover shoot was shot by Mario Testino. Kate models look by designers Givenchy, Rochas, Donna Karan, Stella McCartney, Dolce & Gabbana, Max Mara, Matthew Williamson and Michael Kors. You can find the photos here. Here is a behind-the-scenes video. Take a look:
