Posted on July 8, 2014
Actress Katherine Heigl covers the August 2014 issue of Marie Claire UK. She's wearing a blue Dior dress on the cover. Katherine has starred in many romantic comedies over the years, including 27 Dresses, Knocked Up, Life as We Know It and The Ugly Truth. She told Marie Claire that the film genre she loved turned on her.Katherine says, "This thing that was my best friend for a long time suddenly turned on me. And I didn't expect it. I was taken by surprise and angry at it for betraying me."
Katherine says she still has love for the genre, but thinks now that she possibly overdid it with so many romantic comedies. She says, "I had an amazing time. I love romantic comedies. I was so stoked to be doing them. But maybe I hit it a little too hard. I couldn't say no. There's nothing wrong with them, but maybe I overloaded my audience. I should have done a superhero movie or a psychological thriller."
Katherine will be moving on from romantic comedies and film this fall. She plays CIA officer Charlie Tucker in the upcoming NBC series, State of Affairs. We will certainly watch the pilot when it airs in November. Katherine says the series is limited to 15 episodes so she can fit in other things, such as life at her Utah ranch.
