Kirsten Dunst Walks the 2017 Oscars Red Carpet in Black Dior Gown

Posted on March 4, 2017

Kirsten Dunst looked stunning on the 2017 Oscars red carpet in a black Dior Haute Couture gown. Kirsten accessorized with Christian Lacriox black shoes, a Niwaka diamond necklance and a Roger Vivier clutch. We also loved Kirsten's hair and makeup. Her makeup artist is Jillian Dempsey.

A report in People says the dress was inspired by the "Sonnet" dress from the Dior Fall/Winter 1952 haute couture collection. Kirsten's stylist Nina Hallworth told People, "Everything is special, from the weight of the fabric to the asymmetry of the hemline, the scalloped back and pockets that make you stand with perfect posture."

Kirsten plays Vivian Mitchell in the hit film Hidden Figures, which was nominated for Best Picture. Kirsten's upcoming films include The Beguiled and Woodshock.

Kirsten's co-star Octavia Spencer was nominated for Best Support Actress for her role in the movie. Kirsten says she lives around the corner from Octavia. She told CBS News she is very proud of the film. She also showed her engagement ring. She is engaged to her Fargo co-star Jesse Plemons. Take a look:
