LuDela Real-Flame Candle Can be Controlled with a Smartphone
Posted on September 22, 2016
LuDela has announced the launch of a real-flame smart candle that can be controlled with a smartphone. It uses a technology called Wi-Fire. The candle can be lit and extinguished via a smartphone. Match or other fire starters are not needed.
LuDela co-founder and ceo Jamie Bianchini says in the announcement, "There's nothing quite like the glow, smell, and ambience of candles, but with it comes the fire risk, wax mess, hassles with wicks, and the time it takes to light and extinguish multiple candles. LuDela addresses these issues with a smart candle that delivers the convenience and increased safety benefits of LED candles, but with the magic and fascination of a real flame. Combined with our social mission, LuDela delivers better light and better lives around the world."The candle can also extinguish itself if it starts tipping. It has dimmer features and a child-lock app. The LuDela candle is expected to ship by November 2018.
