Margot Robbie Recreates the Infamous American Psycho Beauty Routine for Vogue

Who could forget Christian Bale's iconic performance as handsome New York investment banker and total psychopath Patrick Bateman in the 2000 film American Psycho? The opening of the film introduced us to Bateman in his black and white apartment. He took the viewers through his strict morning routine which included vigorous exercise and a dazzling array of anti-aging and beauty products. In an homage to the film, which was based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis, Vogue teamed up with Margot Robbie and directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost. They created a shot for shot remake of that famous opening scene and it's absolutely brilliant.

Margot takes us through her insane morning routine with a few changes from Patrick's. Instead of a Les Miserables poster on the wall in her bathroom, she has an autographed poster from the Broadway hit Hamilton. Instead of an ice pack for her eyes, she uses two cold spoons which she wears during her work out. In a dig at the recent controversy over her actual age, she coldly informs us that she is 25 years old.

She's also topped Bateman with her products. One of her go to facial products is a small-batch placenta-infused facial toner to get "that third trimester glow -- without the cravings." In the shower scene she lets us know that, "I can't remember the last time I washed my hair. It basically cleans itself now." But the bragging doesn't stop there. She also lets us know that she was actually born with six pack abs.

As for her inner psychopath she shares, "There is an idea of Margot Robbie, some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me. Only an entity, something illusory. I know I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel my flesh gripping yours. And maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable. I simply am not there." Yikes.

We're thinking they need to remake American Psycho from the female perspective. We know just the actress for the role. Margot is on the cover of Vogue and is starring in the Tarzan remake with Alexander Skarsgard. Take a look:
