Netflix Testing New Pricing Tiers

Netflix, which currently has over 40 million subscribers, is adding new pricing tiers to its service. Bloomberg reports that new prices range from $6.99 to $11.99 per month depending on the number of users or screens. Multiple screens means different shows can be watched in the same household at the same time. The current standard price is $7.99 per month. Some analysts don't think the $1 per month lower priced plan ($6.99) is going to draw in very many new customers.

Leigh Gallagher, Assistant Managing Editor of Fortune, told CNN the new plans have to do with increasing content costs and new competitors, such as Amazon. She also says Netflix is trying to curb people sharing content with friends. Take a look:
