Sweethearts customizable candy package you can draw on

The New England Confectionery Company (NECCO) has launched a customizable Sweethearts candy package for Valentine's Day 2014. The candy boxes provide a canvas for kids to create a personalized candy box using crayons or markers.

NECCO is also running a "Color Your Own" contest for kids. Details can be found on

The modern day Sweethearts Conversation Hearts were introduced in 1902. They were inspired by cockles, which were small candies made of sugar and flour in the shape of a cockle or scallop shell. NECCO says over four billion pounds of Sweethearts will be sold in the six weeks leading up to Valentine's Day.
