Olivia Culpo Wears Marchesa Gown Inspired by Water to 2017 Oscars

Posted on February 26, 2017

Olivia Culpo walked the red carpet at the 2017 Oscars in a bluish gown inspired by water. The gown was designed by Marchesa in partnership with Stella Artois and Water.org.

E! reports that the custom gown was created to help fund clean drinking world for people in regions where clean water is scarce. Olivia told Ryan Seacrest, "We wanted the dress to represent water itself, so it's sort of cascading. The crystal represents the water as well. We knew we wanted tears."

Stella Artois and Water.org are running the Buy a Lady a Drink program to help end the global water program. They are selling a limited edition chalice. Each chalice purchase will provide 5 years of clean water to someone in the developing world.

Olivia stars in two movies out this year. They include American Satan and Tired Lungs. She shared a behind-the-scenes photograph of her getting ready for the Oscars here on Instagram.
