Peaches Geldof's Death Due to Heroin Overdose

Model and presenter Peaches Geldof's death shocked friends and family alike. Now the inquest has turned up a new piece of information. The toxicology reports show that Peaches was on heroin when she died and that likely caused her death. Her young son was with her at the time, and there has been a huge backlash against her when it came out that the child was at risk. The police said there was no drug paraphernalia found at the scene and reports say the police say all the evidence was removed before they were called. Peaches' mother also died of a heroin overdose when Peaches was a young girl of 11.

CNN reports that Detective Chief Inspector Paul Fotheringham testified at the inquest that forensic experts concluded that "there was recent use of heroin and that the levels identified were likely to have played a role in her death." Peaches was found by her husband rock musician Tom Cohen. ITN has more on the story:
