Pets Blessed in Honor of St Francis of Assisi

Pets were blessed in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals, yesterday. This video shows animals being blessed in Peru and the Philippines. Most of the animals getting blessed were dogs. Cat were the second most frequent pets getting blessed. Some of the animals in Peru thought the priest was using too much holy water. ITN says birds and rabbits were also seen getting blessed. Some of the pets were dressed up in elaborate outfits. Take a look:
