Robotic Suitcase from NUA Robotics Follows Its Owner

A robotic suitcase from NUA Robotics will follow its owner around. The smart suitcase connects to the owner through Bluetooth technology. It enables the owner to travel hands free through an airport or train station.
The new suitcase was introduced at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show. It can avoid obstacles using its proximity detector. It also has an anti-theft alarm. The suitcase has a battery that can be used to charge your devices.BGR reports that the robot uses its camera to follow its owner around. The robot also sends real-time location data to your smartphone. BGR says the battery life of the device is not yet known. This is something that will be important because you will want to charge it before your trip. Security might also take a close look at a robot luggage battery if it is too large.
The robot moves at a speed that is around a human's walking speed right now but the developers say it has the potential to go much faster. Availability and pricing have not yet been announced. It sounds easier than carrying your luggage but the airport might get a little more crowded if several years from now everyone is using something like this.
