Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Allows Three New Breeds to Compete

The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is allowing three new breeds for the 2014 show. The new breeds include Chinook, Portuguese Podengo Pequeno and Rat Terrier. Westminster has photos and descriptions of the new competing breeds here.

CNN reports that terriers have won the most Best in Show awards. They have won 45 times. A total of 3,200 dogs are allowed to compete in the show. The 138th annual show will take place from February 10-11. Take a look:

Two new breeds - Treeing Walker Coonhound and Russell Terrier - were added in 2013.
