Counterfeit guitars found at Jersey City bulk mail center

$1 million worth of counterfeit guitars was intercepted at a bulk mail center in Jersey City by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers. Some of the 165 counterfeit guitars are pictured above. The CBP says the guitars would have an estimated retail value of over $1 million. They were designed to resemble high-end guitars from legitimate manufacturers.

Gothamist reports that the guitars were manufactured in China. The guitars will be destroyed.
