Adele's 21 is First Album to Sell 3 Million Digital Copies

Rolling Stone reports that Adele's 21 album has become the first to break the 3 million digital sales plateau. The number was confirmed by Nielsen SoundScan. The album became the 21st album to sell over 10 million units in 2012.

Rolling Stone also reveals that Adele is working on a follow-up to 21 and that it will be "insanely successful." There are no details on a release date at this time.
