Adidas Kermit the Frog Shoes

Posted on September 11, 2011

Adidas is back with a new Kermit style. The new Kermit footwear is a Stan Smith sneaker from adidas Originals.

The sneaker features Kermit's image, name and green touches. The shoe is made using a recycled Primegreen upper. The Kermit touches are more subtle than past Kermit frog footwear.

The shoes also have a message - "It's not easy being green" - that stretches across the back of the heels of both the left and right shoes.

Here's a video of the sneakers from Sneakerman.

This is not the first time adidas has collaborated with Kermit.

The first Kermit the Frog shoes launched to coincide with the release of The Muppets movie, which arrived in theaters on November 23, 2011. The Kermit the Frog shoes are made by Adidas. They are green as you might expect. They also have a light green adornment at the top of the shoe that resembles Kermit's collar-like feature.

Check out Sneakernews to see the first Kermit shoes from adidas originals called the adidas Originals Superstar II Kermit. The green shoes even features Kermit's collar.

Note: There are also adidas x Disney Advantage Muppets Lace Shoes for kids. They have an image of Kermit on the side. You can find them on adidas.com.

Kermit and Stan Smith also star in a video together.
