Air New Zealand's Matchmaking Flight Debuts
Posted on October 14, 2009
Air New Zealand's Matchmaking Flight is making its first flight across the Pacific from Los Angeles to Auckland. The flight contains 100 singles hoping to meet their match either in flight or on the other side of the ocean. The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney hosted a pre-party at the departure gate at Los Angeles International Airport and will be on board the flight as official matchmakers.
Mesnick says in a statement, "An adventure like this doesn't come around very often and we love that these travellers are willing to take a chance on love and to open their minds to new experiences. New Zealand is a very special place for us, and we couldn't be happier to be invited by Air New Zealand to return, allowing us to escalate our love and commitment to each other."
The 30,000-foot matchmaking experience includes a themed cabin, complimentary party packs, food and drink, matchmaking advice from Jason and Molly, speed dating and ice-breaking games. Once in Auckland, the passengers will mix with single New Zealanders at parties and other events.
