Alicia Keys Named Global Creative Director at BlackBerry

BlackBerry launched its new slick Z10 smartphone at a conference yesterday. BlackBerry also announced the appointment of Alicia Keys as Global Creative Director of BlackBerry at the launch event.

BlackBerry President and CEO Thorsten Heins said in a statement, "Alicia Keys has come to BlackBerry because she believes in the product and technology, and subscribes to our overriding philosophy to 'Keep Moving': to empower people through mobile computing and communications. We are excited she will be bringing to us her enormous capabilities, as well as a vast network of relationships in the entertainment, social media and business communities, to help shape our brand and grow our business."

Here is at the event talking about what she loves about the new smartphone. She also talked about how she left BlackBerry for another smartphone, but now she is back exclusively with BlackBerry. Alicia was wearing a black and white suit with her hair short and slicked back for an androgynous look. Take a look:
