Alicia Keys Walks the Red Carpet at the Keep A Child Alive Black Ball

Alicia Keys walked the red carpet for the 8th annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball held in New York City on Thursday night. Alicia says she is so proud because the money raised goes to buy medicine that children need to stay alive. Swizz Beatz sang Alicia's praises, talking about how much she gives back. David Arquette also praised Alicia's good works and said the most important part of celebrity is the ability to shine light on issues that need attention.

The event raised $3 million for AIDS treatment for children and their families who have HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. Take a look:
