Amazon Adds Sunday Delivery in 15 Cities

Posted on May 8, 2014

Amazon has added 15 cities to its Sunday delivery plan, which first launched in Los Angeles and New York City in November 2013. The special Sunday deliveries are a partnership between Amazon and the U.S. Postal Service. Baby products have been one of the most popular Sunday delivery items according to the online retail giant.

Mike Roth, Amazon's vice president of North America operations, says in the announcement, "So far, the most common items delivered on Sunday include baby supplies such as newborn apparel, books and toys - Sunday delivery is clearly crossing errands off the weekend to-do list. We know our Amazon customers love the convenience of everyday delivery, and we're excited to be offering Sunday delivery in more cities across the U.S."
