Amazon Fire tablet in magenta, blue, tangerine and black

Amazon has unveiled new color options for its popular Amazon Fire tablet. Amazon made shockwaves when it introduced the low-priced $49.99 Fire tablet in 2015. Amazon is now introducing three new colors and a device that has 16GB of internal storage instead of 8 GB.

The three new colors are magenta, blue and tangerine. These are in addition to the original black device. There is also a device that comes with 16 GB of internal storage for $69.99. The regular 8 GB Fire costs $49.99.

Kevin Keith, GM, Fire Tablets at Amazon, says in the announcement, "Fire is the fastest-selling Amazon tablet ever, with millions sold since its launch. We're excited to introduce Fire with bright new colors and even more storage-so that customers can enjoy a great entertainment experience on a fun, colorful tablet starting at less than $50."

Amazon also announced that the Fire Kids Edition will be available with a 16 GB option for $119.99. The tablets can also be expanded up to 128 GB of storage via microSD.

The Fire tablet features a 7-inch IPS display, quad-core 1.3 Ghz processor, front and rear-facing cameras, 7 hour mixed use battery life and Fire OS 5 Bellini interface. The Fire tablet can be ordered here on Amazon and the Fire Kids version can be found here.
