Anderson Cooper Accepts GLAAD Award From Madonna

Madonna dressed as a Boy Scout (a Cub Scout, if you want to get technical) to present the Vito Russo Award to Anderson Cooper at the GLAAD Media Awards. Madonna wore the costume to protest the Boy Scouts' policy against admitting gay scouts. The awards celebrate outstanding representations of the LGBT community and its allies on TV, in film, and in the news. Madonna got red lipstick on Anderson when she kissed him, which Anderson said was a first for him. In his speech accepting the award, Anderson told the story of how he first became a reporter and the exact moment he knew how important it was that journalists tell the world about stories they might not hear about.
