Anne Hathaway Shines in Gucci at the 2013 Costume Designers Guild Awards

Posted on February 20, 2013

Anne Hathaway was an honoree at the 2013 Costume Designers Guild Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel last night. Anne looked fabulous in a gorgeous beaded cocktail dress by Gucci. Anne received the 2013 Lacoste Spotlight Award, which was presented to her by Russell, Crowe, her co-star in Les Miserables.

On the red carpet Anne talked about working with Oscar nominated costume designer Paco Delgado and how she totally misunderstood his inspiration for the costumes for Les Miserables. She thought he said he was inspired by Lacroix, as in Christian Lacroix, which she thought was a very odd choice for the film. Anne says Delgado just laughed and replied "No, Delacroix [as in the French Romantic painter, Eugene Delacroix who painted "Liberty Leading the People"]. Go to the Louvre." We love Anne. She's so self-effacing and doesn't mind laughing at her own gaffes. She also admitted she had to go the organization's website to figure out why she would be honored by the group. Take a look:
