April Fool's Day: Krispy Kreme Unveils a 3D Doughnut Printer

Krispy Kreme Australia unveiled its 3D Doughnut Printer today, April 1st, 2016. It is called the 3-Doughnut Printer. The doughnut company says you can print your own designs onto the doughnuts.

Krispy Kreme also says in its Facebook announcement, "Print a doughnut with a selfie on it, or send a personalised doughnut to a friend on their birthday. Customise your creation with special glaze pods."

It also says that doughnut designs will be available on the Krispy Kreme site. This doughtnut printer is currently fictional. It is an April Fool, but food printing technology is here now. The PancakeBot is one example of a food printer currently on the marketplace.
