Ben Stiller Explains the Origin of Blue Steel

Posted on January 5, 2014

We absolutely love the Ben Stiller comedy Zoolander so we don't know how we missed this clip. Ben Stiller has been doing press for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and was a guest on The Graham Norton Show in the U.K. Graham asks Ben if there will be a sequel to Zoolander and Ben says they have a script but they have to make sure it's done right. Graham then asks Ben what his inspiration was for his character's (male model Derek Zoolander) famous modeling pose, "Blue Steel." It turns out that Ben's wife Christine Taylor saw Ben making this weird face in the mirror when he was brushing his hair and Blue Steel was born. We hope Ben gets the sequel off the ground soon.
