Best Buy's Geek Squad Unveils New Geekmobile

Best Buy has unveiled new Geekmobiles for its Geek Squad. The company also unveiled a new Geek Squad logo. The new vehicle is a Toyota Prius c hybrid. The company previously used the Volkswagen Beetle as its tech support car.Best Buy has announced 1,000 Toyota Prius c hybrids will hitting the roads nationwide as Geekmobile vehicles. Geek Squad was launched over 20 years ago. It now employs over 20,000 Geek Squad Agents who visit homes over 13,000 times a day to help customers with their computer and electronics woes.
Geek Squad Chief Inspector Nate Bauer says in a statement, "Today’s Geek Squad Agent is more likely to help a client with a new home theater experience, optimizing their Wi-Fi or smart security solution than the family computer."
Best Buy says the greener vehicle choice will reduce its fleet's emissions by 50%. Best Buy says its new logo has been "modernized to reflect more than a computer repair heritage." Best Buy also says it is easier to read on the small screens found on today's smartphones and watches.
