Bill Gates Talks Philanthropy, How Microsoft Prepared Him

CNN's Elise Labott talked with Microsoft founder Bill Gates about his foundation's work around the world. The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation is where Gates works full time, after stepping down from his active post at Microsoft. Gates said that he has had to learn patience doing charity work. It may take a decade he said to implement a solution to a challenge in another country. He said that founding and working at Microsoft prepared him for a life of philanthropy. The process is the same: identifying a need and then figuring out how to meet that need. He and his wife have given $28 billion to charity. Take a look:
