Boehner Lights Capitol Christmas Tree

Posted on December 4, 2012

House Speaker John Boehner lit the Capitol Christmas Tree in a special ceremony earlier today. The 73-foot-tall Englemann Spruce was donated by Colorado. Take a look:

The official website for the 2012 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree sells items like the 2012 US Capitol Christmas Tree Ornament, which is crafted from genuine Colorado blue-stained pine. It costs $12. A portion of all proceeds collected from the sale of 2012 Capitol Tree merchandise are donated to non-profit organization Choose Outdoors.
