Bracelets Show Post Election Support
Posted on January 17, 2005New bracelets are emerging that allow voters to show continued support even though the close 2004 presidential race between incumbent George W. Bush and challenger John F. Kerry ended last November. The bracelets are small plastic wrist bands similar to the popular yellow "Live Strong" bracelets started by the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which went towards fighting cancer.
Here is a list of a few of the new wrist bands.
- Berns Rothchild launched a blue band with the words "Count Me Blue" as a way for people to show the world they did not vote for Bush.
- BHer father, John Rothchild, offers a competing red band with the words "Count Me Red" to show support of the President.
- BOther political bands include the black "I Did Not Vote 4 Bush" band started by the McKnight family, of Moscow, Idaho.
- BAnd another blue band, called the Hope bracelet, was founded by Laura Adams to reverse the current climate of fear and negativity in America.
