Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney Concert Cut Off Due to London Curfew, Crowd Furious

Fans were furious when concert promoters literally pulled the plug on Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen during a concert in Hyde Park, London. Springsteen had played a three hour concert and then was joined on stage by Paul McCartney. The two had never played together on stage before and Springsteen told the crowd of 76,000 people, "I gotta tell you, I've been trying to do this for 50 years." The duo played several songs, but before they could finish "Twist and Shout" someone pulled the plug on the sound because they were a couple of minutes past the sound curfew set by the local council.
