The Body Dryer

A company is trying to replace towels with a new body drying gadget it calls The Body Dryer. The product is currently listed here on Indiegogo, where it has already exceeded its $50,000 goal. The startup calls its product "an environmentally safe, bacteria free drying system that eliminates the use of bath towels."

A person steps on the Body Dryer and ionized air is blown upward. The device also includes a scale. TechCrunch reports that it takes about 30 seconds for the device to dry a person. Shipping is expected to begin in September. The product video on indiegogo says the dryer will cost around $250, which may be a little too steep for the device to go mass market. You can buy a lot of towels for $250. The Body Dryer could also be useful in gyms and fitness centers.
