Definitive Technology has announced a new Bluetooth speaker for tablets called the Sound Cylinder. Definitive Technology says the speaker can clip on to most tablets. The speaker also acts as a stand for the tablet. It has a built-in pivoting kickstand. The company will introduce the speaker at CES next week.

Kevin Duffy , Definitive Technology's President, said in a statement, "Thanks to rapid advances in portable devices such as tablets and smart phones, enjoying music and video content on the go is within the reach of everyone. Headphones are fine but they're not always practical, especially when you want to share an audio experience with others. Sound Cylinder answers the need for convenient high quality audio on the move."

Sound Cylinder features a built-in side-firing subwoofer in addition to stereo speakers. It will arrive in stores later this month and will cost $199. Gizmodo says the device delivers great, clear sound.
