Disney has opened its biggest Disney Store in the world in Shanghai, China. The 9,257 square foot store is located in Lujiazui area of Pudong. It is next to the city's landmark Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The store opened on May 20th.

Disney estimates the huge store will get 40 million tourists a year. The store carries many of the products found in other Disney Stores but the giant Disney Store also has some unique features. It also has an outdoor plaza unlike most Disney Store locations. These celebratory lions greeted visitors to the store on opening day.

The roof of the Shanghai Disney Store has a Mickey Mouse shape and contains 8,000 LED lights. These LEDs light up the store at night. A 19-foot-tall Disney Magic Kingdom Castle is located at the center of the store. It runs a musical and production show every hour. Other features inside the store include a crystal chandelier where Tinker Bell is sprinkling her Pixie Dust, a 12-foot tree landscape and a Marvel area with hand-sculpted statues of Avengers superheroes.
