Disney Parks to Add MagicBand Wristbands at Walt Disney World

Disney is planning to upgrade paper tickets at its parks with new rubber wristbands, called MagicBand. The wristbands will first be offered at Walt Disney World in Florida this spring. The wristbands enable park guests to reserve seatings and places in lines at their favorite rides. The wristband also serves as a room key and theme park ticket. There is some concern the wristbands could be used to gather information about children. The L.A. Times reports that Congressman Edward J. Markey (D-Mass) is concerned about privacy and about the data these wristbands will collect. Disney says using the wristbands will be optional. Take a look:
