Doxa Creates Official Timepiece for Fabien Cousteau's 31-Day Underwater Mission

Doxa created the official timepiece for Fabien Cousteau's 31-day underwater mission. Cousteau is currently underwater at the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. He submerged on June 1st and remain in the underwater for 31 days until July 2nd.

Fabien's mission honors the 50th anniversary of Jacques-Yves Cousteau's original mission. He will break his father's underwater saturation mission record by one full day.

Doxa manufactured a special edition of 331 pieces of the orange face Doxa Sub dive watch. 31 of the faces will spend 31 days underwater with Fabien Cousteau's mission team. The rest will be available to collectors through Doxa for $2,890. The new watch features a Titanium alloy case and Titanium bracelet with automatic ratcheting dive extension. It is water resistant to 1000 meters.

Fabien says in a statement, "Mission 31 will broadcast every second on multiple channels exposing the world to the adventure, risk, and mystique of what lies beneath. DOXA will be instrumental in the support of our scientific endeavors while also helping us keep track of time down below."
