Duchess of Cambridge Makes First Public Appearance After Birth of Prince George

Posted on August 31, 2013

The Duchess of Cambridge made her first appearance in public since giving birth to Prince George. On Friday, Catherine made a surprise appearance at the start 135-mile Ring O' Fire Angelsey Coastal Ultra Marathon on Friday. Catherine dressed casually in jeans, a green blazer and a casual cotton top. Catherine's mother Carole stayed home and looked after Prince George. Catherine and her husband Prince William will soon be leaving Wales to take up residence in London at newly renovated rooms in Kensington Palace. The suite of rooms was last used by the late Princess Margaret. When they began the renovations, they found asbestos which delayed things quite a bit. All of that had to be cleared out and certified safe before the royal couple moved in with an infant. In this clip, Catherine talks to well wishers and seems quite happy. She looks great.
