Posted on April 14, 2016

Duck brand duct tape has announced its 16th annual Stuck at Prom scholarship contest. The contest involves making prom outfits using duck tape. Duck brand will award over $50,000 in scholarships through this year's contest.

The winners of the 2015 contest are pictured. The grand prize winners were Mia and Chandler. They used many colors to create their prom dress and tuxedo.

Patti LaPorte, senior category manager, at Duck brand parent company ShurTech Brands, LLC, says in the announcement, "The cost of both prom and college are only increasing, and every little bit helps. Duck brand is strongly committed to both education and imagination, so we are excited to again offer more than $50,000 in scholarship prizes to help combat these costs and reward ingenuity in students. And of course we're looking forward to seeing what this year's participants bring to the table with their outfits in terms of creativity and design."

The Stuck at Prom entry period runs through May 31, 2016. The public will vote for the finalists online in June and July. The winners will be announced on July 13, 2016. You can find more about the contest at stuckatprom.com. The site also has galleries of winners from the previous years.
