Ecoist bags made from recycled Frito-Lay snack bags

Ecoist has launched a line of clutches and purses made using recycled Frito-Lay snack bags. The bags were made using recycled bags of Lays potato chips, Doritos, Cheetos, Fritos and Tostitos. Ecoist says the bags were made using an intricate pattern-making and weaving method in which the labels are cut, folded, woven and sewn together by hand. The prices for the bags range from $22 to $138.

The Ecoist collection also includes chip bowls made from recycled Sunchips and Lays potato chips bags. The chip bowls cost $40. You can view all the items from the collection here.
