Electronic Arts Launches Tetris iPad App

Electronic Arts has launched a version of the classic arcade game Tetris for the iPad. The game costs $7.99. Electronic Arts has also launched several other iPad games, including the popular Scrabble iPad app.

Tetris has been very popular on smartphones so it is a good bet that it will be popular on the iPad and other tablets as well. Blue Planet Software, Inc., the company that manages the licensing rights to Tetris, and EA Mobile, announced that Tetris reached over 100 million paid downloads on mobile phones in January, 2010.
