FedEx Expects Cyber Monday 2013 to Be Busiest Day in Company History

FedEx expects that Cyber Monday 2013 will be the busiest day ever in its company history. It expects to move 22 million shipments. Cyber Monday falls on Monday, December 2nd this year. FedEx says this is an 11% increase over last year. FedEx's biggest day last year was Dec. 17, 2012 when it had 19.9 million shipments. FedEx also expects December 1 through 7 to be its busiest week of 2013.

Frederick W. Smith, chairman, president and CEO of FedEx Corp., said in a statement, "Our workforce of more than 300,000 team members worldwide is ready to deliver the holidays once again this year. FedEx's vast global network coupled with our broad suite of shipping solutions enable us to meet our customers' every need during this busy time of the year."
