First Lady Michelle Obama and Daughters Welcome White House Christmas Tree

First Lady Michelle Obama, Malia and Sasha Obama and first dogs Bo and Sunny were on hand at the White House North Portico to welcome the White House Christmas Tree. This tree will be on display in the Blue Room and will be decorated with photos of military homecomings. The 18.5 foot Douglas Fir was grown by Chris Botek of Crystal Spring Tree Farm in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. Botek was a last minute replacement. The original tree was supposed to come from New Jersey from the farm selected by the National Tree Growers Association. But none of the trees were big enough to be on display at the White House, so Pennsylvania got the honor. Malia and Sasha are so tall now, they really are growing up so fast. Sasha rocked some silver, heeled Southwark oxford shoes by Asos for the event. She paired them with navy blue tights, a navy coat, a striped sweater and a flared short skirt. Take a look:
