Fish Fraud: The Mislabing of Fish

American consumers often don't get what they pay for when they purchase fish. ABC News reports that 1/3 of all fish purchased in the U.S. is mislabeled. Fish producers can make millions by substituting different types of fish in this devious scam. Consumers not only end up overpaying, but they are also likely getting a far less healthy fish. Oceana wants the FDA to require fish to be tagged, tracked and tested. It sounds like a good idea. Take a look:
