Video: A Behind the Scenes Look at the World's Largest Flower Auction

CNN's Becky Anderson goes behind the scenes of the world's biggest flower auction, Florahollan, which is just a few miles from Schiphol airport in Aalsmeer, Netherlands. 60% of all the world's flowers pass through the auction on a daily basis. The flowers come from all over the world.
The auction starts at 6:00 a.m. every day. The warehouse is the size of the principality of Monaco. $6 billion of flowers go through the warehouse on a yearly basis. Quality control is important: the warehouse is kept at 2 degrees Celsius.
Pre-qualified florists and wholesalers buy from growers over the Internet using proprietary software. It's all very high tech, and very competitive. It's an absolutely fascinating peek at the secretive business of the wholesale world of flowers. Trading ends by 11:00 am, and the flowers are immediately sent to purchasers all over the world.
